It is started by simply connecting it to a 12V battery.
It is ideal for sampling water inside wells and piezometers, even with the low-flow method (Low-Flow) thanks to the special regulator (Low Flow Sampling Controller – optional), with which it is possible to limit the flow up to 40 ml/min. It can also be reduced further by up to 10 ml/min by using the control valve for low-flow sampling.

The 12V ProActive® Mini Typhoon® pump is made of PVC, has a head of 12 meters and a smooth design to prevent jamming in wells. It can operate in harsh conditions, with high turbidity, and does not require cooling. Includes a 15-meter electrical cable, battery clamps, and an optional flow controller connection.
Yes, thanks to the optional Low Flow Sampling Controller, you can limit the flow up to 40 ml/min. With the addition of a low-flow sampling control valve, the flow can be further reduced to 10 ml/min.
The pump motor has a life expectancy of about 400 hours. However, it is not designed for continuous 24-hour operation.
The pump has an adjustable flow rate from 10 ml/min up to 1 liter/min and a peak consumption of 105W/7 Amp. Accepts pipes with diameters between 10 and 12 mm.
Considering the peak consumption of 7 Amps, we suggest a 12V battery with a capacity of at least 40 A/h (lead, or even better AGM or latest generation lithium) always paying attention that it does not drop below 12V during operation.
